Ceilidhs in Central PEI

Music, hospitality, and community are an integral part of Prince Edward Island’s culture. A PEI ceilidh is a social gathering of traditional music, dance, and local storytelling. In the olden days, people gathered in homes for a ceilidh to laugh, dance, sing, and make music (also called a kitchen party). Today, you can attend a local ceilidh in a hall setting and feel the energy and hospitality as you toe tap to traditional music!
