This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Richard Wood; acclaimed performer, fiddler, and 5x ECMA Award winner! 

Richard is passionate about creating unforgettable experiences through music, storytelling, laughter, and connection. Whether he’s performing in a theatre, a community hall, or a festival setting, his goal is always the same: to leave audiences feeling like they’ve been part of something special.

When he’s not on stage, some of Richard’s favourite PEI spots include our beautiful beaches and golf courses, Holman’s Ice Cream Parlour, Farmers Bank, PEI Fox Den, Brackley Drive-In Theatre, and Fisherman’s Wharf.

Richard’s journey into performing began as a step dancer, inspired by the joy of making people smile. That passion eventually led him to the fiddle, but his mission has remained unchanged; creating moments of happiness and connection through music.

Fun fact: Some of Richard’s favourite songs to perform are his original compositions, especially when audience members share the special memories and personal connections they’ve made with the music.
