Start your day off at the Anne of Green Gables Museum in Park Corner. Here you can go on Matthew’s carriage ride, take a picture by the Lake of Shining Waters, and explore the house that used to belong to the author’s aunt and uncle. 

Next, stop in New London to explore the L.M. Montgomery Birthplace and learn some wonderful history about Montgomery and her life. 

Back on the road again, make your way to Cavendish-the place that inspired so many of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s writings. In Cavendish, head to the Green Gables Heritage Place. This is where you will find the Anne of Green Gables house and walk Lover’s Lane and Haunted Woods Trail. While you are in Cavendish, grab a bite to eat at Avonlea Village! 

Before you go, stop by the Site of L.M. Montgomery’s Cavendish Home which is the property where L.M. Montgomery lived with her grandparents. Many of her books were written here, including Anne of Green Gables. 

In the evening, take the 40-minute drive from Cavendish to Charlottetown where you can watch the beloved story come to life during Anne & Gilbert:The Musical! This internationally celebrated musical is opening in 2023 for its 17th season at the Holland College Florence Simmons Performance Hall.
