Glenaladale Heritage Trust

GLENALADALE ESTATE includes the magnificent Glenaladale House, with 530 acres of mixed woods and farmland on Tracadie Bay.

From the Battle of Culloden to PEI's Mi'kmaw, Acadian, Scottish, and Irish people, Glenaladale has many layers to its story. From 1772-1905, it was home to the family of Scottish Laird Captain John MacDonald. He and his grandson Sir Wm C MacDonald are Persons of National Historic Significance. Glenaladale was then sold to the MacKinnons─known for their fox farm and rum-running exploits.

In 2018, Glenaladale Heritage Trust purchased the Estate and is undertaking a dynamic plan of regeneration...

You'll enjoy hearing about Glenaladale's people, be amazed by the time capsule that is Glenaladale House, be free to relax with a picnic, help out in the garden, or simply enjoy a quiet walk on the grounds. We are sure you'll want to come back again!
